A beautifully preserved piece of apparatus, this engine represents one of the most popular styles in the 1940's and early 50's/ With its windshield and cab doors, it could boast having the latest in comfort and protection for the fire fighters.
A V-12 cylinder motor with dual carburetors powers a centrifugal pump. The centrifugal by this time had won favor with most fire departments because of its simpler construction which meant less maintenance. Another great advantage of this pump is its ability to use hydrant pressure as a base upon which to build more pressure.
On display at The Fire Museum of Maryland in Lutherville, MD.
